Keller and North Richland Hills Named Top Safest Neighborhoods

According to data from North Central Texas Council of Governments, municipal police agencies, and the Texas Department of Public Safety, both Keller and North Richland Hills were named in the Top 10 Safest Neighborhoods.  All of the 10 places listed tied for first place due to virtually no serious crime, among other factors.

North Richland Hills is the third largest city in Tarrant County and is just minutes from the bigger metroplex cities of Dallas and Fort Worth.  It boasts one of the state’s best libraries, and has a nationally recognized parks and recreation program.  They have over 700 acres of park land, with parks and trails for the whole family to enjoy.

There are about 67,000 residents.  The public school system is excellent, with the high schools ranking in the top 10% in the state.  North Richland Hills even has an Art in Public Spaces program to beautify public areas and integrate art into daily life.

Keller is a Tarrant County city of around 40,000 residents.  It is nestled close to Fort Worth and Dallas and has received numerous awards for everything from safety, to an Achievement of Excellence in Libraries Award, to being in the 20 Best Cities for Homeownership in Texas.

Keller has 336 acres of developed, award-winning parks, hike and bike trails, and playgrounds throughout the city.  The city offers many community-wide events throughout the year.  The arts are especially prized in this community, and Keller offers small town charm with all of the big city conveniences that folks have come to expect in this bustling DFW metroplex.
